Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
A semester SAP of 75% or higher is one of the Academic Standards at BYU-Idaho in order to remain on Good Academic Standing. SAP is calculated by dividing earned credits by attempted credits (see calculator below).
A low SAP may also affect your Financial Aid, for more information visit SAP requirement for Financial Aid.

"W" represents a withdrawal from the class and will not be calculated into the gpa.
"UW" represents an unofficial withdrawal which is given to a student who meets the following criteria:
- Did not complete proper withdrawal procedures:
- has record of never attending the course before the last date to withdraw from individual courses without grade earned;
- did not complete any work, tests, or class-related assignments after attendance ceased. The “UW” is calculated into the GPA as a failing grade.
