Note: Spring Semester 2011 BYU-Idaho experimented with sending a text message to all students on campus concerning the full semester course drop deadline. This caused a 150% increase in dropped courses that day compared to previous semesters. It also contributed to a significant decrease in petition requests by students to remove W grades from their transcript.
Are there fees or charges with these text messages? There are no additional charges beyond the standard rates that you pay to your carrier for sending and receiving text messages.
