Academic Dismissal permanently restricts a student from attending BYU–Idaho. Academic Dismissal is a result of performing below the established BYU–Idaho academic standards after being placed on Academic Suspension. Students who wish to continue a formal education will need to seek opportunities elsewhere.
If a student feels there are extenuating circumstances (e.g., health issues, family emergencies, etc.) that affected their ability to do well in school, they may petition their Dismissal through the following steps:

27 MAY Memorial Day - No Classes.
28 MAY Last day to withdraw from all First Block classes and receive a "W" grade and not the grade earned.
5 JUN Last day of First Block classes.
6 JUN Second Block Classes Begin.
12 JUN Last day to Add to a Second Block Waiting List.
15 JUN Last day to withdraw completely from Full Semester classes and receive a pro-rated tuition refund.
15 JUN Last day to apply for Spring Graduation for name to be in the official Program and for honors consideration.
17 JUN Last day to withdraw from individual Full Semester classes and receive a "W" grade and not the grade earned.
21 JUN Last day to drop Second Block classes without receving a "W" grade on the transcript.
