Paul was born in Birmingham, Alabama and spent his childhood all over the United States and Puerto Rico. He left home at age 18 to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles and ended up joining the military and was stationed in Germany. In 1978 he met the Sister Missionaries while waiting in line at the Tonight Show and was eventually baptized in the Fire Hole River at Yellowstone National Park in 1982.
Paul never gave up on his dream to become an actor, and over the years has played small parts in "Raging Bull," "To Be or Not to Be," "Blues Brothers," and "General Hospital." He has spent the last 25 years in New York City where he worked as a ticket agent and mailroom supervisor for the Schubert Organization.
He has served in various callings in the church, including High Priest Group Secretary, Ward Employment Specialist, Ward Missionary, and Librarian, to name a few. Paul has been to all 50 states, as well as Australia, Canada, Mexico and Europe. When he isn’t busy traveling, his favorite things to do are to go to Broadway shows and New York Mets games.
