The Hemming Scholarship is awarded by the Hemming Family Foundation to offset expenses associated with interviewing at allopathic medical schools. The Hemming Foundation was created by Dr. Val Hemming, M.D., and his wife Alice. Dr. Hemming is a retired medical school dean and has set up this scholarship to help relieve some of the costs of the interviews for medical school.Who is eligible to apply for the Hemming Scholarship?
Students that have traveled for medical school (non-osteopathic) interviews, have a score of at least 28 on the MCAT and have a science GPA of 3.4 or above.How do I apply?

Applications are submitted after you travel. Application deadline for travel during Winter Semester 2012 is March 15th, and the deadline for Fall Semester 2012 is December 1st.How much is awarded?
Awards range from $500 to $1,000 and are given only after receipts from the interviews are presented by approved applicants.
