About Us

On July 15, 2011 the BYU-Idaho Internship and Career Services Office and the Career and Academic Advising Center combined to create the new Academic Discovery Center (ADC).

The ADC helps future, current and former students explore academic, career and life options. “We want to be more effective at helping students make educated decisions about what they want to do in life,” said Guy Hollingsworth, Associate Academic Vice President. “Our reorganization efforts will help students select the best major and course options that will, in turn, chart them on a path to a fulfilling career.”

In addition to the centralized location in the Hyrum Manwaring Student Center, teams of employees are organized within each college to provide specialized support for individual majors. “There will be no more confusion about where to go next. Students will be able to get streamlined information in one spot,” said Hollingsworth.
