Participation in Church congregations gives students opportunities to lead and serve.
On this campus, academic learning is blended with a deep commitment to the faith and spirituality that defines membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. BYU-Idaho's student body is comprised of devoted Latter-day Saints from around the world. Because their activity in the Church continues in earnest at college, students are organized into campus congregations that function just like the congregations in their hometowns.
In these wards and stakes, students attend weekly worship services, hold positions of responsibility, and give meaningful Christian service. Students have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and contribute to their congregations in significant ways, all while enjoying the fellowship and sociality that are integral to life as a Latter-day Saint.
