Before Submitting an Article

1) First, a BYUI teacher must read your paper and agree to sponsor it.

The feedback from your teacher is invaluable for you as a writer. Take his or her suggestions very seriously. Below are suggestions for getting the most from audience feedback:

  • Let him or her read the entire paper first. Then, ask for feedback on content, structure, wording and mechanics-not just mechanics.
  • As you listen to her or his comments, do just that--LISTEN. Don't explain or excuse, just write down comments or ask for clarification.
  • Later, consider his or her suggestions carefully. But remember this is your paper. You can choose to accept or reject or modify suggestions.

2) Next, follow the procedure outlined on the main submissions page for submitting the paper.

3) Then, e-mail the following form to the teacher and ask them to forward it to grovers@byui.edu.
