Math 305/306 Diagnostic Test
In order to enroll in Math 305/306, you must either pass a diagnostic test -or- pass Math 110, or higher, with a C- or better (Math 111 does not fill this requirement).
The math department has recently created a new diagnostic test that will serve as the pretest for Math 305/306. This test is on the blackboard site and must be taken with a proctor (currently in the math department). This test is in 3 parts that can be taken at different times. Each test can be taken up to 4 times per semester, until they are passed. It is suggested that you take these tests as early as possible in your schooling (freshman year preferred) so that if additional math classes are needed, they can be taken with minimum interruption of your progress. When you are ready to take the tests you will need to sign up with Angela (Math Department Secretary) in RKS 232.
Also on this blackboard site are practice tests that can be taken to see what you may need to work on. Frequently asked questions and other useful information about math for ELED and ECSE majors are also included on this blackboard site. All students majoring in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Special Education will be automatically added to this blackboard site.
Please take this seriously. Once they are all passed, you are cleared to take Math 305/306 (must have at least 30 credits).
