Recruiting Fairs

There are a number of teacher recruiting fairs held around the country each year including Idaho. The Utah Teacher Recruiting Fair is held in April each year. We generally have 120 districts/private schools represented at the fair. For additional information concerning location and dates of these fairs, come to the Teacher Placement Office.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is available to you when the need arises. Make appointments to meet with Bob Maxfield by calling 208.496.1819. 

Teacher Placement Library (Hinckley 325) 

We have a variety of materials available to assist you in your search for employment. Education Directories for the U.S. and foreign countries, with names and addresses of employers are available for your use. Information on letter writing, resumes, and interviewing are also available.

The Teacher Placement office (teacherplacement@byui.edu) sends job updates and information about job fairs and campus interviews. Check your campus e-mail daily for updates.

Directories / Materials Available

A number of directories and other job seeking related books are available for use in the Teacher Placement office to assist you in your job search. In addition there are free handouts of some state school district lists and general job seeking information.
