BYU-Idaho Entrepreneur Program Overview

BYU-Idaho Entrepreneur Program was started in the fall of 1998, offering one class in entrepreneurship.  Today we offer a cluster in entrepreneurship, various courses in entrepreneurship, an entrepreneur conference, scholarships for entrepreneurial students and a strong SIFE chapter.  This entrepreneur program site was created by SIFE students to benefit students across campus and to give every student the opportunity to embrace the spirit of entrepreneurship.  This is the newest edition to our entrepreneur program and will provide helpful information to all students interested in entrepreneurship, assist local entrepreneurs, and provide valuable information to anyone else who accesses this site.

Outreach

We currently offer the Entrepreneur Lecture Series and an annual Entrepreneurial Conference each year to give students and community members the opportunity to hear from actual entrepreneurs.  We have a strong SIFE (students in free enterprise) organization that also provides entrepreneur assistance.  Our senior small business consulting class also conducts consulting projects for local small businesses and the community.

BYU-Idaho SIFE team

Active on more than 1,400 college and university campuses and is currently in 33 countries.  The BYU-Idaho SIFE team was started in 1999 and has been a regional champion every year since its inception and has placed in the top 8 and the top 16 in the nation.  Our SIFE students value the idea of seizing opportunities and making a difference.

We aren't afraid to roll up our sleeves and get involved. Through a collaborative effort between business and education, we improve the quality of life and the standard of living around the world by teaching the principles of market economics, entrepreneurship, business ethics and personal financial skills needed to succeed, we are indeed changing the world.
