About Us

The mission of  the BYU-Idaho Academic Society (BYUIAS) is to encourage and recognize academic excellence; to expand the mind; to sponsor student-led learning experiences; and to provide opportunities for leadership, service, and social interaction through academic activities.

BYUIAS will provide academic-enrichment activities and lectures for all students as well as provide honors recognition for students achieving honor grades.

All students are invited to come and participate in this society as general members. BYUIAS will seek to actively invite students meeting "Scholar" requirements. Leadership opportunities are available to both General and Scholar members.

BYUIAS is currently affiliated with Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), a national, 2-year honor society for eligible students, who may choose to participate upon their request. In the near future, BYUIAS looks forward to being invited to become affiliated with a national, 4-year honor society.
