At BYU-Idaho students are offered extensive opportunities to practice what they've learned by working with professionals in the field of therapeutic recreation. After 12 credits of recreation core course, students are given a leadership assignment in a practice setting as part of their academic course work. After 24 credits of recreation core course students will complete a senior internship of 400 hours that involves all aspects of professional responsibility as a recreation therapist. See Intern page
