What programs are available?

The Nursing Department has a history of 50 years of experience educating and training qualified nursing professionals. We offer two degree programs that are accredited by the NLNAC and a Nursing Cluster for non-nursing majors, which are:

 

  • The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
  • The Registered Nurse Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN)
  • Nursing Cluster for non-nursing majors

 

When are the programs offered?

The programs are offered each semester. ONLY complete applications are considered for selection. Application deadlines for each semester are as follows:

 Fall
  •  Submitted by March 1st
  •  Submitted by May 15th
 Winter
  •  Submitted by June 15th 
  •  Submitted by October 1st
 Spring
  •  Submitted by November 1st
  •  Submitted by February 1st

 

Requirements

These programs are designed for serious students who want to serve and care for others as medical professional. The ASN is for students who want to be a RN. The BSN is for students who are RNs who seek to advance their education and career.

Cost Information

 

Cost vary depending on whether courses are taken on-campus, online and as an LDS or Non-LDS student. Note: University tuition increases by $4 per credit starting for Fall 2009; Continuing Education fee remains unchanged. The general tuition costs are as follows:

  • $136 a credit up to 12 credits
  • $1,640 a semester if 12 or more credits
Non-LDS On-campus Students 
  • $272 per credit for general education classes 
  • $3,280 a semester for 12 or more credits

LDS Online Students
  • $204 per credit for nursing classes ($136 a credit for nursing classes + $68 a credit for a continuing education tuition fee)
Non-LDS Online Students
