Soul Street Dance Coming to BYU-Idaho
Crossing street dance with classically choreographed movement, Soul Street Dance Company from Houston, Texas, will perform at the Kirkham Auditorium at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg for performances on Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25, at 7:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the BYU–Idaho Center Stage Performing Arts Series, this innovative dance group of four men will appeal to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Tickets can be obtained from the BYU–Idaho Ticket Office by calling 496-2230 or online at www.byui.edu/tickets. The cost is $12 for the general public and $5 for BYU–Idaho students.
Soul Street Dance features a variety of dance styles and selections including a mix of hip-hop, classical and new dance styles with urban-fashioned costumes and comic delivery. The musical selections include Leonard Bernstein, Earth Wind & Fire, Debussy, Kodo Drummers, Michael Jackson, Nat King Cole, Vivaldi, James Brown and others.
