Highly Acclaimed Musicians to Perform with Emma Rubinstein

 

The Brigham Young University–Idaho Department of Music invites all to enjoy world-class entertainment on Wednesday, March 25, and Thursday, March 26, at the upcoming Emma Rubinstein Trio and Duo Recitals.

 

Performers at both recitals include violinist Emma Rubinstein, cellist Thomas Stauffer, and pianist Cynthia Darby. At the Wednesday night Trio Concert, Rubinstein, Stauffer and Darby will perform music by Haydn, Heiden and Mendelssohn. Thursday night’s Duo Concert will include music by Stravinsky, Debussy, Tower and Schumann.

 

Rubinstein is currently a visiting professor of violin at BYU–Idaho and holds many prestigious credentials. She obtained a Master of Music degree from Yale University and has performed worldwide. She has instructed at many prominent universities and has appeared on television and radio.

 

Stauffer has worked internationally in highly esteemed institutions and currently teaches at San Diego State University. Darby graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston with honors. She is an acclaimed pianist who has performed in many venues including the San Francisco Symphony.

 

Both recitals will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Eliza R. Snow Center for the Performing Arts. The recitals are free of charge, and concert dress is required.
