College of Business and Communication to Host Business Summit

 

The Brigham Young University–Idaho College of Business and Communication will host its annual Business Summit on Thursday, March 19. James H. Quigley, CEO of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, will be the keynote speaker at 2 p.m. in the Taylor Chapel.

 

Quigley, a leader of one of the largest professional advising companies in the U.S., will address students during the hour-long forum, followed by a question and answer session.

 

The Business Summit is aimed to help students learn from real business professionals how to succeed in business by giving advice on real-world skills, as well as faith-based values.

 

Various workshops and presentations, beginning at 8 a.m., will occur throughout the day to help students learn more about the latest trends in business. Speakers will address computer information technology, finance and investment, entrepreneur management and other subjects pertaining to careers in business.

 

In addition to Quigley, other guests include: Jeanette Bennett, owner of Bennett Communications; Scott Bird, financial analyst at JP Morgan; Roger Clarke, president of Ensign Peak Advisors, Inc.; Joshua Griffeth, Team Leader in Credit Derivatives Group for Goldman Sachs; and Spencer Jackson, IT specialist for the U.S. Department of Commerce.
