Jazz Trombonist Wycliffe Gordon to Perform with BYU–Idaho Sound Alliance
Trombonist Wycliffe Gordon will headline the inauguration of Brigham Young University–Idaho’s Jazz Workshop Series on Saturday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirkham Auditorium.
Backing up Gordon is the BYU–Idaho Sound Alliance jazz ensemble under the direction of Mark Watkins.
Gordon, a critically acclaimed jazz trombonist, received the Jazz Journalists Association 2001, 2002, 2006 and 2007 Award for Trombonist of the Year.
Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for BYU-Idaho students. They are available online at www.byui.edu/tickets, at the BYU–Idaho Ticket Office or by calling 496-2230.
