Irish Band Danú to perform at BYU–Idaho

 

The traditional Irish band Danú will perform Wednesday, March 18, in the Kirkham Auditorium at Brigham Young University–Idaho as part of the Center Stage Performing Arts Series.

Tickets are $12 for the general public and $5 for BYU–Idaho students. They are available online at www.byui.edu/tickets, at the BYU–Idaho Ticket Office or by calling 496-2230.

Hailing from County Waterford, Ireland, Danú is one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles of today. Their standing-room-only concerts throughout Ireland are true events featuring high-energy performances and a glorious mix of ancient Irish music and new repertoire.

For over a decade, Danú’s players on flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, bouzouki and vocals have performed around the globe and recorded seven critically acclaimed albums.

Winners of numerous awards from the BBC and Irish Music Magazine, Danú takes its audiences on a musical journey to their native Ireland, offering a moving and memorable concert experience.
