Bodyvox to Perform at BYU–Idaho
Bodyvox, an innovative dance company from Portland, Ore., will perform at Brigham Young University–Idaho as part of the Center Stage Performing Arts Series.
Performances will be held Thursday and Friday, Feb. 12 and 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirkham Auditorium. Tickets are $12 for the general public and $5 for BYU–Idaho students. Tickets are available online at www.byui.edu/tickets, at the BYU–Idaho Ticket Office or by calling 496-2230.
BodyVox entertains audiences with breathtaking physicality, striking imagery and belly-laugh inducing wit and whimsy. The company pursues a curiosity and fascination with the endless possibilities of the human body in motion.
Artistic Directors Jamey Hampton and Ashley Roland are distinguished artists on the world stage, formed by their years working as creators and performers with innovative dance companies Momix, ISO Dance and Pilobolus.
Created in 1997 to fulfill a commission from Portland Opera, the company has since choreographed three operas, created seven original shows and toured across the United States to critical acclaim.
