Barrage to Bring High Strung Fiddle Show to BYU–Idaho

 

Barrage, a high-octane string group that features a mix of music, song and dance, will perform at Brigham Young University–Idaho on Friday, Jan. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium.

Tickets are $12 for the general public and $5 for BYU–Idaho students. Tickets are available at the Ticket Office, by calling 496-2230, online at www.byui.edu/tickets, or at the door.

 

The new Barrage performance called High Strung offers a diverse fusion of cultures, musical styles and performance vitality. The music of Barrage continues to evolve, combining the contemporary world music influences, layered vocal arrangements and pulsating modern beats and rhythms. The cast delivers the new show with amazing energy and musical virtuosity that will take your breath away.

 

Since its creation in Calgary, Alberta, in 1996, Barrage has performed around the world. The cast of Barrage features six violinists/vocalists, a drummer, a bass player and a guitarist.
