Music impressionist to perform at BYU-Idaho

Jim Carrey, Michael Jackson, Louie Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Stevie Wonder, Ricky Martin, Cat Stevens, The Temptations, and Alvin and the Chipmunks are just a few of the musical performers to take the stage during the one-man show of Jason Hewlett.

The show will be held Friday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirkham Auditorium at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg. Tickets for the Center Stage Performing Arts Series event are $12 for the general public and $5 for BYU-Idaho students. They may be purchased by calling the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office at 496-2230 or ordering online at www.byui.edu/tickets.

A native of Salt Lake City, Hewlett began work for "Legends in Concert" as Ricky Martin in Myrtle Beach, S.C., in 2001. After having gained 30 pounds from his wife's cooking, he decided it was time to become Elton John for "Legends" as well. Today he works mainly as a corporate entertainer and motivational speaker.
