BYU-Idaho College of Business and Communication to hold annual Business Summit conference

 

The Brigham Young University-Idaho College of Business and Communication will host its annual Business Summit on Thursday, March 20. The day's events will include a panel discussion, breakout presentations, and a University Forum. The panel discussion will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the Taylor Chapel.

 

The panel includes keynote speaker Nolan D. Archibald, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer for Black & Decker in Towson, Maryland. He has been cited by Business Week as one of the top six managers in the United States and by Fortune as one of the country's "Ten Most Wanted" executives. Archibald also serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Lockheed Martin Corporation, Huntsman Corporation, and Brunswick Corporation and is a member of the President's Leadership Council at Brigham Young University.

 

The other panelists include Ryan A. Anderson, Assurance Associate of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dallas, Texas; Daniel R. O' Bryant Executive Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer of Avery Dennison in Pasadena, California; Mark L. Peterson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise-Mentors International in Salt Lake City, Utah; W. Paul Simmons, Apollo Real Estate Advisors Partner in New York City, New York; and Nicole Velasquez, a third-year doctoral student and Research Associate in the University of Arizona Management Information Systems Department in Tucson, Arizona.

 

The breakout presentations will be held at 9, 10, and 11 a.m. in the John Taylor Building Rooms 160, 170, 180, and Taylor Chapel. The University Forum address by Nolan D. Archibald will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Taylor Chapel; a reception will begin at 3:30 in Manwaring Center Special Events Room 272.
