BYU-Idaho community saddened by the passing of President Gordon B. Hinckley
The Brigham Young University-Idaho community is deeply saddened by the passing of President Gordon B. Hinckley. He was a dedicated servant of the Lord whose faith, integrity, and optimism blessed members of the Church worldwide.
BYU-Idaho enjoyed a prophetic relationship with President Hinckley, which is evident in the addresses given during his recent visits to campus:

His inspired vision guided the university through an unprecedented season of change and innovation. He leaves an enduring legacy that will continue to bless the institution and the students who receive their education here.
The BYU-Idaho community offers its heartfelt condolences to the Hinckley family.
Funeral services for President Hinckley will be held Saturday, February 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. These services will be broadcast live on BYU Television, which is available on CableOne channel 13, Dish Network channel 9403, and DirecTV channel 375. Local stations KIDK Channel 3 and KIFI Channel 8 will also air the funeral.
The funeral will also be shown in local stake centers, including the married student stake center on Seventh South next to the temple. On campus, the broadcast will be available in the Taylor Chapel and Cultural Hall.
