top BYU-Idaho winter performing arts series
The Center Stage Performing Arts Series at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg has announced its winter line-up of shows.
The season opens Jan. 12 with the Dallas Brass, one of the country's foremost musical ensembles that features brass instruments and percussion.
Max Q, the 2007 Barbershop Harmony Society International Quartet Champions, will headline this year's Barbershop Music Festival Jan. 18 and 19.
The popular Canadian group Leahy will perform fiddle music and dance from Nova Scotia Jan. 23.
Idaho Bluegrass Night will feature singer Cherie Call and folk band Lincoln Highway Jan. 26.
Nashville musicians will present "Trek: A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers" Feb. 9. This is a sequel to "Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet."
The Vienna Choir Boys, who are celebrating their 500th birthday this year, will perform Feb. 13.
Named after the infamous flame-haired priest Antonio Vivaldi, Red Priest will perform its theatrical and outrageously different Baroque music Feb. 20 and 21.
Thought by many to be the premiere a cappella group in the world, the King's Singers from England will perform Feb. 26 and 27.
Sax player Eric Marienthal and vocalist Kevyn Lettau will headline the 10th annual BYU-Idaho Jazz Festival concerts March 7 and 8.
