Peter Breinholt and Sam Payne to perform at BYU-Idaho

Singers Peter Breinholt and Sam Payne will team up for a concert at Brigham Young University-Idaho on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium in Rexburg.

Tickets for the Center Stage Performing Arts Series concert are $5 for BYU-Idaho students and $10 for general public. They can be purchased from the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office, by calling 496-2230, online at www.byui.edu/tickets, or at the door.

Breinholt, who began writing songs at age 11, started recording his own music as a college student in Utah and quickly became popular with the college crowd throughout Utah. His first album eventually became one of the best-selling independently released CDs ever in the state, advertised almost entirely by word of mouth.

Since then Breinholt has produced several albums and performed for audiences all over the United States, including performances with several symphony orchestras and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Breinholt has also produced guitar songbooks and film scores.

Sam Payne, also from Utah, performs original contemporary folk tunes and often performs with his band, The Sam Payne Project. He is the oldest son of actor Marvin Payne and has worked as an LDS seminary teacher.
