"We are not bound by tradition, nor are we limited to our own understanding or to the wisdom of men. In short, this is a very unusual university."

BYU-Idaho Department of Theatre to present Oklahoma!
The Brigham Young University-Idaho Department of Theatre will present the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma! from June 27 to June 30 and July 3 to July 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Snow Drama Theatre. The July 4 performance will be held earlier, at 6:00 p.m.
This live stage play consists of BYU-Idaho students, faculty and members of the local Rexburg community.
While the central conflict of the story revolves around who will take protagonist Laurey to the box social, this is also a story of overcoming pride and developing community. "This is a story about farmers and cowboys who learn to overlook past conflict in order to unify for the betterment of the community," said Richard Clifford, an instructor in the BYU-Idaho Theatre Department.
Tickets are $6 for the general public and $3 for BYU-Idaho students. They are available at the Kimball Building Ticket Office, by calling 496-2230 or by purchasing online at www.byui.edu/tickets.
