BYU-Idaho community encouraged to participate in and volunteer time to Teton Dam Marathon  

 

The Brigham Young University-Idaho community is invited to participate in and volunteer time to the Teton Dam Marathon scheduled for June 9. Registration forms must be completed and postmarked by May 31. Registration and volunteer information is available online at the Teton Dam Marathon Web site, http://www.dammarathon.com/.  

Activities scheduled include a Half-Marathon, Relay, 10K, 5K and Family Fun Run. Half marathon participants must complete the half course in four hours, while runners participating in the full marathon must complete the course in eight hours.

There will be no race day registration or packet pick-up for the Teton Dam Marathon, Half Marathon or Relay. Late registration costs an additional $10 and participants may not be able to receive a shirt and medal on the actual race day. Late online registration closes at midnight June 8.

 

In addition to race participants, volunteers are a big part of the Teton Dam Marathon Events, as they help to continue to make this event a success.

 

Some responsibilities of a volunteer include registration, shirt and packet pick-up, handing out water and fruit and finish line duties. For more information, see http://www.dammarathon.com/.
