"We are not bound by tradition, nor are we limited to our own understanding or to the wisdom of men. In short, this is a very unusual university."

BYU-Idaho Student Health Center launches online scheduling
Brigham Young University-Idaho's Student Health Center now allows patients to schedule appointments online. Previously, appointments were only scheduled over the phone or through walk-ins.
"We received feedback from students that they like to do everything online," said Shaun Orr, health services director of the Student Health Center. "It only made sense to respond to their feedback and create online scheduling."
To schedule an appointment, patients can go to www.byui.edu/healthcenter/appointments. They can select the specific type of medical help needed, choose the provider they wish and view that provider's schedule to find a date and time that works best for them, whether it be two days or two months from now. Patients can view past appointments and change or cancel upcoming appointments.
In order to schedule online, patients must have their medical records already set up at the Student Health Center. Therefore, first time patients cannot schedule online until they have set up those records and received a password.
"Online scheduling is convenient for both patients and Student Health Center employees," said Orr. "It alleviates some of the phone calls to employees, and students can schedule an appointment at any day and time, instead of waiting for the Student Health Center to open."
