Ricks College and BYU-Idaho alumni encouraged to serve as ambassadors

Alumni of Ricks College and Brigham Young University-Idaho who care about the legacy of their school and are interested in being advocates for the institution are invited to volunteer as Alumni Ambassadors.

"Ambassadors are essential to spread the message of BYU-Idaho to the rest of the world," said Steve Davis, manager of Alumni Relations. "They have a passion for the university, and they desire to share their knowledge of this university to potential students."

Alumni Ambassadors support the mission of BYU-Idaho by serving as local contacts for the university, encouraging students with high standards and values to attend BYU-Idaho, assisting current students as mentors and resources for internships, and by encouraging alumni to stay connected with and support BYU-Idaho.

Tasks range anywhere from speaking at firesides to updating the Alumni Association on local alumni news. Ambassadors are a constant local resource for alumni, students and potential students.

"Approximately 300 stakes have ambassadors," said Davis. "We are always seeking more alumni who are dedicated to supporting the mission of BYU-Idaho."

Anyone interested in volunteering as an Alumni Ambassador can contact Steve Davis at 1-800-537-2586 (LDS-ALUM) or send an e-mail to daviss@byui.edu
