BYU-Idaho to hold fall Spirit Week

Students, employees, alumni and the community are invited to take part in this semester's Spirit Week at Brigham Young University-Idaho. A variety of events are scheduled, starting with the Spirit Rally on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. at the BYU-Idaho stadium. The rally includes a relay race and kickoff torch-lighting ceremony.
"Spirit Week is a great time for students to remember the ‘Spirit of Ricks' as we continue to move forward," said Kristina Southam, BYU-Idaho Student Body President.
As a university-wide event, Spirit Week is a time to connect with academics, activities and traditions that tie the past, present and future together. The goal is to have participants experience BYU-Idaho to the fullest extent by celebrating and enjoying its unique atmosphere.
The week's events include the Spirit Week Spectacular, which will showcase more than 500 students in a night of music and dance on Saturday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium, and the Man of Excellence fireside featuring John H. Groberg, president of the Idaho Falls Temple. President Groberg will speak Sunday, October 15 at at 6 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium.
