BYU-Idaho tuition will rise for 2006-2007

    REXBURG, Idaho –

Brigham Young University-Idaho will raise tuition 4.36 percent for the 2006-2007 academic year. The undergraduate rate per semester will be $1375, up $60 from the previous year.

“This is a modest increase that will help cover increases in operating expenses,” said Larry Rigby, budget officer at BYU-Idaho.

Tuition increases over the previous nine years have averaged 4.56 percent.

Students who are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will now pay 200 percent of member tuition, up from 150 percent, an increase that will be in effect at institutions throughout the Church Educational System.
