    BYU-Idaho faculty member Dallin Hansen to present solo violin recital
     

    REXBURG, Idaho –
     

    Dallin Hansen, a Brigham Young University-Idaho Music Department faculty member, will present a solo violin recital Saturday, November 12 at 5 p.m. in the Snow Recital Hall. He will be accompanied by Cheryl Hansen, who is also a member of the music faculty.

    The recital program will include a Beethoven violin sonata, the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor and concert pieces by Fritz Kreisler.

    “We are especially excited to perform the entire Mendelssohn concerto. It is one of the most well-known and important violin concertos of the 19th Century,” Brother Hansen said. ”We look forward to presenting such powerful and beautiful music to an accepting audience.”

    Admission to the recital is free to the public. Casual dress is acceptable for those attending.
