    REXBURG, Idaho –

Sculptures and oil paintings by Brigham Young University-Idaho art instructors will be displayed in Idaho Falls this month. The works by Matt Geddes and Gerald Griffin will be featured in an exhibit titled “Patterns Across the Sky” at the Eagle Rock Art Museum Nov. 3-26.

Geddes’ sculptures titled, “The Anatomy of Form,” are selected works from his teaching demonstrations and professional exhibits. The fifteen sculptures, made of cast bronze and fired clay, emphasize gesture and underlying form.

Griffin painted his “Shadows Across the Land” series during a recent sabbatical. Traveling cross-country from Idaho, he painted landscapes and still-lifes along the way. The twenty-five piece oils collection showed in the Spori Art Gallery in September.

The Eagle Rock Art Museum invited Geddes and Griffin to exhibit their artwork as friends of the organization. Both professors are supporters of the new museum; Griffin is a former member of the board of directors. BYU-Idaho has also supported the museum in the past, sponsoring the “Old Master” and “Pop Art” exhibits.

“Patterns Across the Sky” runs through Nov. 26. The Eagle Rock Art Museum is located at 300 S. Capital Ave., Idaho Falls. For more information, call the museum at (208) 534-7777.
