The
BYU-Idaho outdoor equipment rental center has moved to a new facility below
Viking Stadium.
While equipment is still being moved from the nearby
trailer where the center has been since May, it has operated from the
newest location since mid-September.
The new location offers almost 900 square feet more
space than the trailer did. Double E Construction began the project
mid-August and completed it Sept. 30.
The
center rents a wide variety of camping, boating and skiing equipment for
one to 30 days, says Scott Hurst, Outdoor Activities director.
“We
have just about anything that deals with land, water and snow,” he says.
The
center is open from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 7 p.m.
Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays.
Future plans call for the
equipment to eventually move back to the Hart Building. # # #
