Workshops offered in conjunction

with homecoming weekend

REXBURG, Idaho—Three free workshops and a tour of campus will be offered in conjunction with homecoming festivities Friday, Sept. 20, beginning at 2 p.m. at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg.

The first workshop, a demonstration of the Ruffatti organ, will be given by Darwin Wolford of the BYU-Idaho music department at 2 p.m. in the Barrus Concert Hall of the Snow Center for the Performing Arts.

At 3 p.m. a choral workshop will be given by Kevin Brower of the music department in the Barrus Concert Hall. Although all are welcome, the workshop will be specifically geared as a rehearsal for the alumni concert (held in combination with all current BYU-Idaho choirs) Saturday night at 7:30 in the Barrus Concert Hall. Admission to the concert is free; however, tickets are required.

At 4 p.m. Keith Sellers, a former Ricks College religion instructor and a former mission and temple president, will speak on the homecoming theme “Faith in the Future” in the Taylor Chapel.

Campus tours will be available at 5 p.m. and will begin in the lobby of the Kimball Building.

“These workshops give alumni the opportunity to connect with people they knew here before, including these workshop teachers,” Steve Davis, alumni director, said.

However, the workshops are not exclusively for alumni, he stressed. Community members, students, faculty and others are welcome to attend. No registration or tickets are necessary and admission is free.
