Idaho Supreme Court Chief Justice

plans community session in Rexburg

BOISE – The Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court, Linda Copple Trout, will conduct the third in a series of community outreach meetings on Thursday, Oct. 23, on the campus of Brigham Young University–Idaho in Rexburg.

The session will take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Little Theater in the Manwaring Center. Chief Justice Trout will make a brief presentation concerning current issues and initiatives of the Idaho courts and then entertain questions and comments from the public.

Similar sessions were held in Nampa and Lewiston recently. Chief Justice Trout said the community meetings are part of her and the court’s ongoing efforts to reach out to Idahoans in order to explain issues involving the state’s court system and to listen to the perspectives of Idahoans.

Idaho judges and court personnel are constantly looking for ways to improve our service to our citizens,” the Chief Justice said. “One way we can do that is to listen and learn in settings like we are planning at BYU–Idaho in Rexburg.”
