The
season for the Brigham Young Football League (BYFL) at Brigham Young
University-Idaho in Rexburg will come to a close Saturday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at the football stadium with the
championship game featuring the Knights and Wildcats.
This
is BYU-Idaho’s second season of full contact, eight-man football.
Growing from a four team league last year to a six team league this year,
the BYFL now consists of more than 100 BYU-Idaho players and coaches.
“The league is full of
incredible talent,” says Vikings Coach Andy Gould. “The players
have a lot of respect and love for one another and for the accomplishments
of the program.”
In
addition to the game, a halftime show will feature the Pro-Form Airborne
Jump Rope Team, followed by a fireworks extravaganza.
Tickets
are $4 for adults, $2 for youth ages 11-18, and free for children 10 and
under. The cost for BYU-Idaho students is $1.
The
semi-final games last Saturday were highlighted by two thrilling upsets.
The Knights, a 3 seed, knocked off the 2 seed, Titans, 28-18. Then the
Wildcats surprised the top-seeded Wolverines 19-14. After their semi-final
upsets, both the Knights and the Wildcats will enter the championship game
with tremendous energy and excitement
