BYU-Idaho announces new

summer enrollment policy

REXBURG, Idaho – Brigham Young University-Idaho has announced a new policy for summer enrollment that will better accommodate the growing number of Summer Track students.

The new policy particularly affects Fall/Winter Track students wanting to take summer classes. Unlike past years, Fall/Winter Track students will only be allowed to take summer classes if they have completed 80 or more credits by the end of Winter Semester.

To help ensure classes are available for Summer Track students, Fall/Winter Track students with 80 or more credits will be required to register after Summer Track students have registered. Registration dates for Fall/Winter Track students planning to graduate at the end of the summer will be based on their total number of completed credits.

The 80-credit level is based on the registration patterns from Summer Semester 2004 and may be adjusted annually based upon anticipated available space. Ample notice will be given if the credit level changes.

Summer Track students may continue to apply for the Fast Grad program following their sophomore year. If granted, those students will be eligible to attend school year round.

For more information about this new policy or to see if you are eligible to enroll in Summer Semester, visit http://www.byui.edu/admissions or contact the BYU-Idaho Admissions Office at 496-1036.
