       Welcome to the Math Study Center --  McKay Library 266 & 270

  Walk-in Tutoring

  • Hours--

    M & F  9:00-6:30;  TWTh 9:00-9:00 pm ; Sat. 11-2:00 pm (Closed for Devotionals and Forums: TTh 2-3:00)
  • In the Math Study Center, you may work on regular math homework.
  • Trained staff of tutors available to answer math questions.  
  • Textbooks, solution manuals, and math strategies are available for many of the math classes.    
  • Student ID is required for Math Study Center and to check out textbooks.

Test Review for 100 and 101 Courses

  • Students may also review their Math 100 and 101 tests at the Math Study Center during all center hours.  Students will need the test printout and a picture ID for test help.

 One-on-one Tutors 

  • Students who need more individualized and customized help may sign up for a personal tutor.  Tutors are available for all math classes offered at BYU-Idaho. 
  • Sign up for a math tutor by logging into my.byui; next, under the Links, go to Tutor Request and follow instructions. Or you can visit the Academic Learning desk, located in the McKay Library.

  •  Students may meet with tutors three times a week at no charge.

Lecture-based College-prep. Math Classes

  •  Some students need additional background before taking college level math courses.  We offer three courses taught in a lecture based setting. 
  • Students should meet with one of the faculty who teach these courses before they enroll to determine which level will be best.
