Treo 650 Programming for MMS

  1. Make sure that the Treo 650 is powered on.
  2. Perform a Hard Reset on the device if it is a used device.
  3. Once you have performed the hard reset and the device language and screen have been calibrated, press the house button on the keypad.
  4. Tap the “Prefs” icon on the main screen.
  5. Select “Network”
  6. Tap "Preferences" in the upper left corner and select "New"
  7. Select the Service line and replace the word “untitled” with “mms”
  8. Select ISDN as the connection and hit done.
  9. Select "Network"
  10. Select Modify and change Connection to GPRS
  11. Leave name and password blank.
  12. Tap the APN field and enter "mms" and hit done.
  13. Select the house (home) key.
  14. Tap the “Messaging” icon.
  15. Click on the top Menu bar on the display.
  16. Select “Options”.
  17. Tap “Preferences”.
  18. Tap "Network"
  19. Tap "Manual” and then “Edit”.
  20. You might receive a warning about changing the MMS settings. Select “OK”.
  21. The Message center number should be +15412878011
  22. The MMS Gateway Address should be 12.108.12.13
  23. The MMS URL should be http://mms.edgemobile.net/mmsc
  24. Under “Network Profile” make that “mms” is the APN that is selected.
  25. Once this has been done select “OK”.
    26. INTERNET
  26. Tap the “Prefs” icon on the main screen.
  27. Select “Network”
  28. Tap the “Modify” button.
  29. Tap "Preferences" in the upper left corner and select "New"
  30. Select the Service line and replace the word “untitled” with “isp”
  31. Select ISDN as the connection and hit done.
  32. Select "Network".
  33. Select "Modify".
  34. Select Connection drop down and choose GPRS.
  35. Leave name and password blank.
  36. In the APN block manually type in "isp".
  37. Select done and press the house (home) button.
  38. Select the “Web” icon.
  39. If the device asks you to connect to the Internet, select “No”. If it doesn't ask you this question then you may have selected the option to where it doesn't ask you this anymore.
  40. You should now be at a blank web browser screen.
  41. Tap the top left hand corner of the screen.
  42. Select Options in the top menu.
  43. Select “Preferences”.
  44. Change the "Home page" to wap.yahoo.com
  45. Hit the house button and select the “Web” icon. You should now connect to the internet. If it gives you an error then go back in the Network menu under the “Prefs” icon and select “Connect” if you still receive an error you either have a SIM locked phone or do not have the ISP APN on your account.
  46. You should be ready to go.
