I-Learn Test (Assessment) Guidelines

Please follow these guidelines to have a successful I-Learn testing experience.

This message appears on every I-Learn test.

Here is a more comprehensive list of things to avoid that would prevent your test from being graded correctly:

1. click Back, Home, Refresh/Reload, or other buttons in your internet browser
2. go to another website or type in a new web address in the address bar
3. click Favorites/Bookmarks
4. press the Backspace key on your keyboard
5. double click OK to start a test
6. close the internet browser (click the red ‘X')
7. stay logged in to a test for too long (3 hours is the max)
8. click Submit more than once.  If your connection is slow, you may think the test is not being sent. Wait at least 2-5 minutes for a confirmation that your test was received.
9. If you must enter a password to begin the test, click the Submit button. Do not press the Enter key.

Other issues:

1. Loss of internet connection or internet times out (poor internet service)
2. Power failures
3. Computer crashes
4. Excessive traffic on the entire I-Learn system (the busiest times for I-Learn are in the afternoons & evenings)

Actions to foster success:

1. Allow yourself plenty of time to take the test before the test closes.
2. Make sure you have a good internet connection before beginning a test.  Wireless connections may not be as reliable as wired connections.
3. Only use the links & buttons within the I-Learn pages and not the browser buttons.
