Importing Contact Directory from BYU-I to your email account on Entourage

(Please note that this option is available when you have already set up an Entourage account. If you have not created one yet, please click here to show instructions on how to do it)

 

1. Open Entourage

 

 

2. From the "Tools" options on the top of the page select "Accounts"

 

 

 

 

3. From the "Accounts" table select "New" and from the drop down list select "Directory Service"

 

 

4. Give you account a name in the "Account Name". Next, in the LDAP server write b2.byui.edu. You want to make sure that the servers name is spelled correctly otherwise it will give you errors. Next, in the Account ID write BYUI.edu\yourschoolusername and then your password that you use with that username. Again you want to make sure that the account ID and password are spelled correctly as shown in the picture. Note the back slash after .edu\. Leave "Use Kerberos authentication empty. Finally click "Click here for advanced LDAP options"

 

 

 5. You want tomake sure that both these options are not selected. Close the table.

 

 

6. In the "Search Base" you want to make sure you write exactly dc=byui,dc=edu. Click "OK"
