How to set up your Smart Phone from your computer

 

• Connect the device with your computer. This page is going to come up. Set up your device

 

•   On the next page "Manage a Partnership" select and write in the boxes as shown in the picture below. Then click "Save"

  "Name this PC:  BYU-Idaho"

  "If there is a conflict: Replace items on device"

 

•   Select the boxes a. Contacts, b. Calendar, c. E-mail, d. Tasks, e. Mobile Favorites and then click "Next". If you prefer to have other files to sync you may do so.

 

•   Once you finish with syncing the folders you are going to be redirected at the first page. Here click on "Change Exchange Server Settings"

 

•   On the Server address write "owa.byui.edu". Mark the box "Use encryption (SSL). Use your user name and password as if you were to log in to your school account. The Domain is "byui". In "If there is a conflict" box, select "Replace items on device". Click "Save"

 

•   On this page make the preferred selections but on the "Synchronize e-mail from" you want to select "Microsoft Exchange". Click "Save"

 

•   In this page mark the boxes as shown below and then click "Save". You can also select according to your preferences.
