HTC Touch Pro

 

  •   These instructions are specific to configuring the HTC touch pro, but they will work with any Windows mobile device that has the 3D-Touch Flo interface

  •   If you have synchronized your Windows Mobile device to your computer already using Windows Mobile Device Center, You will be unable to configure your mobile device for Exchange. HTCTouch

 

 

  • You will need to use Mobile Device Center to remove your association from your home or work computer first, and then you can use ActiveSync on your Windows Mobile Device to configure Exchange synchronization

  •     ActiveSync settings can be changed from within ActiveSync using the Menu softkey; ActiveSync is available from CommManager or using the Start Menu. "Add Server Source" will allow you to synchronize your mobile device directly with the BYU-Idaho email server.   While you are plugged into USB or while ActiveSync is Synching, you will be unable to change any settings. Unplug your device from its USB charger and click "Add Server Source."

  •   When prompted, enter your BYUI Email address. Click next. Your device will likely not be able to detect settings automatically.

  •   Use your BYU-Idaho Net-ID as a User name. The domain for employees is BYUI. Use the same password you regularly use to log in.

  •   The mail server is owa.byui.edu. We do require an SSL connection for your security

  •   Choose the data you wish to synchronize among any of "Contacts" "Calendar" "E-Mail" and "Tasks"

  •   Wait patiently for your device to synchronize
