4th of July Hours of Operation
Happy 4th of July everybody! Finally with our warm weather and the beautiful Idaho sunshine we can celebrate our nations most beloved holiday. We here at Food Services would like to announce that the Galley will be open for Breakfast and Lunch on Friday, July 4th to the general public. All other eateries will be closing for the weekend. So before you go to Idaho Falls and enjoy the festivities and fireworks, come stop by and grab a meal at the Galley.
Galley Prices Have Dropped
We are proud to announce that we have been looking into the interests of the students and have decided to make a big drop in the price to eat at the galley. The Galley is now only charging $6.50. As of last semester the Galley cost $7.50, so we have decided to cut the cost of a meal to about %15 lower than what you would have paid last semester. So, "come eat at the galley!"
Food Services Closure on Sundays
Brigham Young University - Idaho has decided that beginning Sumer Semester 2008, Food Services will no longer be open for services on Sunday.
"Over the past several years, Food Services Management , in coordination with the President's Council, has thoroughly evaluated and taken positive steps toward making the decision to be closed on Sundays to allow student and full-time workers to be off on the Sabbath.
Away With Meal Plans
Beginning in January 2008, students living on campus were no longer required to purchase a mandatory meal plan. University Food Services has moved from Meal Plans to a "Dining Dollars" program giving students greater flexibility and benefit in supporting their financial situations.
A Wonderful Resolution
University Food Services is aware that some may feel inconvenienced due to the unavailability of Sunday dining on campus and will ensure that REPLACEMENT MEAL OPTIONS will be available for purchase during the week for those who live in on-campus non-cooking dorms that only have microwaves or limited cooking facilities.
