Welcome to the Performing and Visual Arts FA100 Lab

This course is designed to give students an opportunity to gain an appreciation for the performing and visual arts. A combination of events and lectures are required to complete the course. The lectures are designed to give students an understanding of what to look for and how to get the most out of the events they attend. The events include visual art exhibits, dance performances, choir concerts, band and orchestra performances, live stage plays, and classic films.

A major part of the Brigham Young University-Idaho mission is to build testimonies of Jesus Christ. Uplifting fine arts can make our testimonies stronger. Elder M. Russell Ballard said, "God's purpose for the artist is to inspire, to give us visions of ourselves that we might not otherwise see, to make us better than we would have been."
