Alumni Network

A datatbase of BYU-Idaho alumni searchable by industry, job, major, employer, state, city, or foreign country. A great tool to find area or company contacts. Each alumni lists their contact information, can be used to develop relationships and discover opportunities.

BYU Alumni Association

An alumni association run by BYU. Once targeted companies have been identified, alumni association chapter presidents can be contacted for assistance in reaching out to their members that may be employed at your targeted companies. BYU-Idaho Ambassadors

Friends of the University assigned to Stakes throughout the world. Their goal is to share the "Spirit of Ricks". Once targeted companies have been identified, ambassadors in the area of the target companies can be contacted to build relationships and to ask for referrals to those who work for those companies. A great tool to gather information, build relationships, and discover opportunities.

BYU Management Society

A society run by the Marriott (business) School at BYU. Once targeted companies have been identified, management society presidents can be contacted for assistance in reaching out to their members that may be employed at your targeted companies. An event that gives students the chance to meet hundreds of companies, explore different internship and career opportunities, and establish contacts within these companies. If you are looking for an internship or career, then the BYU-Idaho Career & Internship Fair is for you! A fair is held every fall and winter semester.

Department Internship Coordinator

Looking for an industry specific job or internship? Visit with your department coordinator. Many of the faculty at BYU-Idaho have come from careers in a specific industry and are a great resource for you in your job search. Once you have secured your internship they will help you get your experience registered for credit.

Expeditions

Internship expeditions are designed to assist in finding an internship or career. An expedition will provide students with an opportunity to network, contact, and meet with the HR managers and Alumni, Hiring managers, and executives from companies in the expedition's respective area. Students will also be introduced to LDS resources such as members, wards, institute, temple location, etc.

Hub Service Missionaries

Hub Service Missionaries are part-time Missionaries (20 hours/week) who are seeking ways to assist students in finding internships, career opportunities, and housing. As a student you are able to benefit from the networking they are doing in addition to your personal networking.

LDS Employment Resource Services (ERS)

Centers assist people around the world to find their individual skills and how to sell them. The skills taught there can benefit people whether they are temporarily out of work or leaving school and need their first career job. LDS Employment Centers need help in training unemployed people. This sometimes requires additional help in the form of internships and career type job openings.

Mentoring Services

Assists students and alumni in marketing themselves to potential employers. Students and alumni can meet with trained career preparation mentors to learn and apply for writing effective resumes and cover letters, and interviewing successfully.

Bonner AmeriCorps Program

Designed to assist students with their education while they experience the good feeling of serving others. After completing a "Service Oriented" Internship you can qualify for an education award of $1,000 or more. The experience you receive in a "Service Oriented" Internship can greatly enhance your ability to find and receive other internship experiences and/or career positions.

Idaho Work Study

Idaho Work Study is an employment program sponsored by the State of Idaho designed to encourage Idaho employers to hire Idaho resident students in jobs related to their course of academic study. Its purpose is to develop students professionally by supplementing their academic studies with progressively responsible and related work experience.
