Computer Information Technology opens the gate to to great careers for women. You may be surprised to know how many women work in Information Technology fields. Some of the greatest figures in the history of computing are women. Careers in Information Technology often offer a greater degree of flexibility than many other professions because of the ability to telecommute or work from their home part of the week. There are also many scholarship, internship, and grant opportunities specifically for women in the field of Information Technology. The EWF has partnered with the Information Networking Institute and Carnegie Mellon's CyLab to offer a scholarship for their Master of Science in Information Security Technology and Management program. The recipient will receive full tuition for the duration of their enrollment. This scholarship will be offered to students from historically underrepresented populations in the area of information networking and security, including women. The EWF will arrange a mentoring relationship between the scholarship recipient and an EWF alumni. |
