Prospective Missionary Program

Registration for PMP Is open.

A $500 non-refundable deposit will be due at time of registration. This deposit will be transferred toward the student's tuition account on the second day he attends classes (Sept 10, 2010).

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for PMP does NOT change your track assignment to Fall. It offers the student a one-time opportunity to attend BYU-I for a Fall Semester.

PLEASE NOTE: Acceptance to PMP allows the student to attend Fall Semester 2010 with the agreement that they will take PMP Core Classes, and round out their schedule with Evening School and/or Online Learning courses. Please review the PMP class information.

What is the Prospective Missionary Program (PMP)?

PMP is a BYU-Idaho academic program to serve potential missionaries prior to their missions.  The program will consist of a core of mission preparation courses and a choice of other BYU-Idaho courses.

When does it take place?

PMP will take place during the regular Fall Semester, September 9 to December 18, 2010, on the BYU-Idaho campus.

Participation Requirements

PMP is for admitted male students of BYU-Idaho who have accepted their offer of Winter/Spring track with a January 2011 start date.  It will enable these students to finish a semester of college courses prior to mission service without delaying their missions for school.

Cost

The cost of PMP is standard BYU-Idaho 2010/11 Tuition:

For 12 or more credits: $1680

For less than 12 credits: $140 per credit

Registration

PMP registration fills on a first-come first-serve basis to eligible students.  PMP class registration will open June 1st, 2010.
